ABOUT MBM PUBLISHERS

After the loss of her daughter, Dr. Meisenhelder created MBM Publishers for the sole purpose of helping others.  Written as helpful guides, the books of MBM Publishers strive to supply nurturing content for the heart and soul.

Dr. Janice Bell Meisenhelder used her insight as a nurse, her experience with peer counseling of other bereaved mothers, and her knowledge of the research to compose a gentle guide with practical tips for healing: Surviving the Unthinkable: The Loss of a Child.  This book provides comforting help to all bereaved mothers in short, digestible bites in a chronological order according to need.

Dr. Meisenhelder published a reproduction of her daughter’s hand written prayers as a guide to those who wish to draw closer to God: Melissa’s Prayer Journal.  Melissa’s prayers illustrate the positive coping strategies confirmed by research as the most helpful way to stay strong through difficulty and feel joy in every day.
